Dr. Huisheng Xie, DVM, PhD will be our keynote speaker. He is the director of the acupuncture program and associate professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida and is founder of the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. He will be speaking on, “Five Elements and Clinical Application,” and, “Energy Pathway and Acupuncture Points.”
Joining Dr. Xie is the renowned Dr. Allen M. Schoen, DVM, MS. Dr. Schoen is the founder of the Center of Integrative Animal Health and the well renowned author of, “Kindred Spirits, How the Remarkable Relationship between Humans and Animals Can Transform our Lives”(Broadway-Doubleday, 2001) and “Love, Miracles & Animal Healing”(Simon & Schuster, 1995). He will be speaking on, “Integrative Veterinary Medicine in Daily Practice: Protocols and Future Potential,” and “The Human Animal Bond: Scientific Basis and Implications for the Future.'
Dr. Kevin K. Haussler, DVM, DC, PhD completes our all-star lineup. He is currently a faculty member and Assistant Professor at the Gail Holmes Equine Orthopaedic Research Center in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University. He will be speaking on, “Chiropractic evaluation of the equine spine and sacroiliac joint,” and, “Current equine chiropractic research: pain, stiffness and muscle hypertonicity.
